It is an adventure and outdoor paradise, with beach & forest walks to suit all ages and abilities, tourism experiences, caving, rafting, canoeing & kayaking, surfing, jet boating, jet skiing, glacier walks, scenic flights, mountain biking, horse treks, fishing and gold panning are just some of the activities available.
The West Coast is also becoming increasingly famous for its world-class artists & craftspeople. The dramatic landscapes attract a growing number of national & international artists, who value a lifestyle hard to find in more populated areas.
